About Schuyler County
Schuyler county is located in the northeastern portion of Missouri. As of the 2010 census the population was 4,431. It is located along the Missouri and Iowa border. The county seat is located in Lancaster, Missouri. Schuyler county is part of Kirksville, MO Micropolitan Statistical Area. The county was organized February 14, 1845 and was named after General Phillip Schuyler, delegate to the Continental Congress and U.S Senator from New York.
By order of the Supreme Court the Courthouse will be closing at noon on June 18th.
